Senapati DC launches National De-worming Day 2nd Round 2023

The Deputy Commissioner, Senapati Mamoni Doley, IAS launched the National De- Worming Day 2nd Round 2023 today at Avant Garde Academy, Taphou, Senapati. The programme was organised by District Health Society, NHM, Senapati.
Addressing the gathering, Senapati DC Mamoni Doley, IAS stated that NDD is observed nationwide as every individual including adults is susceptible to worm. Reiterating to de-worming, she also stated that it is observed twice a year. She said that the NDD is mainly targeted on the children from the age group between 1- 19 years so that every child wouldn’t miss their education and various other activities including music, sports etc. Mentioning on dos and don’ts she appealed both the Teacher and Anganwadi workers to educate both the school children and parent for healthy living.
Later, Senapati DC administered Albendazole tablets to the school children as part of launching NDD second round 2023 programme. It may be mentioned that NDD second round 2023 is also carried out at various Anganwadi centres and schools across the district.
The programme was also graced by Dr. Sumpi Percy, CMO, Senapati as functional president. The Avant Garde Academy Principal also the proprietor acknowledges for the smooth conduct of programme and look forward for more activities.
The programme was attended by DLO’s, Supervisors of ICDS and Anganwadi workers along with school teachers and students of Avant Garde Academy.
