Banned armed group Maoist Communist Party, Manipur expressed its gratitude for taking part in the ‘A Night of Solidarity with Manipur’.
In a release, Nonglen Meitei, Secretary Publicity and Propaganda of the outfit said that Manipuri Peoples are inspired by revolutionary solidarity of A Night of Solidarity with Manipur held as a part of International Protest Day against Indian Expansionism at Los Angeles, California US. The Manipuri People, Patriotic Nationalist Forces, Democratic Forces and Revolutionary Peoples are waging a just war against Indian Expansionism and we are determined to achieve National and Class Liberation.
“We are giving compliment to the Red Guards-Los Angeles and New Communist Party-Liaison Committee United States for taking responsibility of Proletarian Internationalism by showing solidarity to the National and class liberation of Manipur led by Maoist Communist Party Manipur. In the course of the solidarity between the US and Manipuri peoples, we can learn from each other, mutual understanding, mutual support and unity in struggle with the communist tradition of Proletarian Internationalism.”
It also extends their utmost regards to the revolutionary Award Winning poet Matt Sedillo and Alex from UC Irvine who showed up and shared invaluable information and historical insight to India, Manipur and Southeast Asia.
“Manipur, small but beautiful home to more than thirty fraternal ethnic groups, is a historical State having a recorded history of more than 2000 years. In her long history, Manipur never became a part of India. Manipur was a recognised Asiatic State when the British imperialists invaded and occupied it in 1891.
