Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Manipur Pradesh, president Th. Chaoba, today in a press meet said that a team of BJP will inspect the development works in the assembly constituency of Deputy Chief Minister of the state, Gaikhangam.
In the press meet Th. Chaoba alleges that the funds meant for developmental works in the constituency of the Deputy CM of Manipur have been swindled. Besides, the record of distribution of ration to the families under poverty lines under PDS in this constituency is pathetic. BJP will shortly disclose the record of PDS of previous year in the constituency.
Chaoba further alleges that issuing sticks to police personnel in hill areas of the state in spite of sanctioning fund for police modernization also indicates misuse of fund in the state. This helps in increasing crimes in hill areas of the state. This means there is no governance in the hill areas of the state.
A huge sum of money is invested for the welfare of tribal through various schemes in the state. However, the funds have been misused by few tribal residing in Imphal area. In order to check this, BJP will urge to the CBI to inquire the matter.
During the press meet M. Asnikumar Singh, State General Secretary Adm), State Pramukh, State Membership Mission, BJP said that BJP Manipur Pradesh announced that BJP Manipur Pradesh is going to launch National Membership Mega Drive “Sashakta Bharat Sashakta BJP” under the instructions of National Office of BJP.
He said that BJP Manipur Pradesh needs to reach out various community and sections if society for its publicity-propagation. He added that BJP Manipur Pradesh welcome different communities and sections living in the nook and corner of Manipur put together to come and join Bharatiya Janata Party to bring a change which can transform Manipur to a better and powerful state as a part of changing political trend in the country.
The plans and strategy of the Mega membership drive include motorcycle rally campaign covering all the areas of the state, street corner awareness campaign, institutional campaign, Kiosk campaign.
