Addl. SP Victoria expresses serious concerns over the growth of female drug users

Imphal, Oct. 26: Additional SP of Bishnupur district, Victoria Yengkhom expressed serious concerned over the growth of drug users among female community in the state.
During a one day awareness programme organized by the Coalition Against Drug & Alcohol (CADA) under the theme “impact of drugs in the society” at Modern Hr. Sec. School, Bishnupur Toubul Road yesterday Victoria said that sometimes anti drug workers seems to have forgotten that there are also several female group who are drug dependent. She appealed people to inform the nearest police station if in case these intoxicant users are seen loitering around.
She also said that if the schools going girls or boys are seen using such kind of intoxicants then there are liable to punish under JJ Act. She also elaborated on the mob culture as a result of the trust deficit factor towards law enforcing police. The lady MPS officer appealed to avoid the deficit factor and assured all help if in case they approach to police station.
Various resource persons spoke on the occasion and took pledge to fight against drug usage.
