New Ecological campaign initiated

A pioneering ecological campaign aimed at mitigating climate change effects was inaugurated today by Environmental activist, Manikanta Mutum. This initiative marks a significant step not only for Manipur but also for India, focusing on proactive measures to safeguard the environment.
“This campaign aims to prevent or at least reduce the impacts of climate change” stated Manikanta Khuman.
The campaign was officially inaugurated at Awang Sekmai Arambai Tenggol by leader Korounganba Khuman, who emphasized the importance of collective action in addressing climate change impacts effectively.
Korounganba Khuman, along with other activists, has urged the Cabinet ministers and MLAs to support the campaign to ensure its success. Highlighting the significance of political backing, he announced that collaborative efforts are crucial for meaningful environmental progress.
On the first day of the campaign, Manikanta Mutum announced his plan to present a memorandum to Social Welfare Minister Heikham Dingo and to the MLA of Lamshang Kendra, S. Rajen.
