MFO condole loss of two cabin crew from Manipur in Air India flight crash

The Manipur Federal Organization (MFO) has conveyed its deepest sorrow and condolences following the tragic crash of Air India flight AI171, which was en route from Ahmedabad to London on June 12, 2025. The organisation stated that the unfortunate incident claimed the lives of several innocent passengers and crew members, bringing immense grief to families and communities across the country.
In a statement issued by the organisation, it was mentioned that among the victims were two young and promising cabin crew members from Manipur — Miss Lamnunthem Singson, belonging to the Thadou community, and Miss Kongbrailakpam Nganthoi Sharma, from the Meetei community. MFO described their untimely demise as a profound loss not only to their families and respective communities but also to the entire state of Manipur.
According to the statement, the two young women symbolised the courage, determination, and aspirations of Manipur’s youth. Their commitment to their profession and their dedication to serving others were acknowledged with deep respect and pride.
