The 40th Foundation Day of Khwairamband Keithel Nupi Marup was held today at Khwairamband Ima Keithel.
As a part of the Foundation days representatives of various CSOs and members of the Khwairamband Ima Keithel pay floral tributes to the portraits of the Imas of Khwairamband Keithel who had left for heavenly abode.
Speaking on the occasion MLA Thangjam Arunkumar lauded the roles taken by the women of Khwairamband Keithel in shaping the future of the state.
“Imas of the Khwairamband Keithel have always been in the forefront when it comes to any challenges to either socio-political issues or economic issues”, Arunkumar said.
He further said that the Imas of Khwairamband Keithel have always been playing role in producing policymakers and social activists of all trades of the state.
“Many sons and daughters of the soil who are now in the top post in government or in politics are sons and daughters of the Imas of Khwairamband Keithel. Khwairamband Keithel has also been playing roles in shaping the economy of the state, Arunkumar added.
Arunkumar further expressed more expectations from the Imas of Khwairamband Keithel in spearheading the people in the right direction in hard times.
