JS Angam was sworn in as chairman of the Japhou bazar authority at the District Headquarter Baptist Church Campus. ALCA President KL John Motab administered the oath of office to JS Angam, Chairman of the Japhou Bazar Authority.
The coronation ceremony was attended by District Headquarter Baptist Church Pastor LH. Alembert as Blessing Administrator, Japhou Bazar Authority Speaker LH. Jonah as Ceremony Master, and Mayanglambam Rajkumar, Deputy Commissioner Chandel.
During the Coronation Ceremony, 42 village chiefs , former ADC members and Women’s Society members also attended. As a part of the coronation ceremony, traditional folk songs and cultural and customary dances were presented by the youth of the village. The new chairman, JS Angam, presented gifts to those well-wishers, the village chief, newly elected members, relatives, seniors, and land donors of the office of Japhou Bazar Authority.
Lulu Monsang, Secretary of Japhou Bazar Authority, stated that before the Chandel district was fully faded district, forefathers formed the Japhou Bazar Authority in 1962.The JBA is formed by 42 different communities.
