Armed rebel group Socialist Revolutionary Party, Kangleipak (SOREPA) today.
A statement of the outfit signed by M.C. Yaiphabi, Publicity Secretary , SOREPA, Kangleipak said that the 1st anniversary in a simple way at its Central Head Quarter, Tactical Head Quarter, its units , Malitia units, civil units etc, by maintaining by maintaining COVID-19 appropriate behavior.
The statement further said that the main function of the 1st Anniversary was held at its Central and Tactical Head Quarters.
At the function held at its Central head Quarter, the Chairman and General Secretary of the organization graced the occasion as Chief Guest and President respectively. At the function held at its Tactical head Quarter Military Affairs Secy. Col. Chinhyang and Chief of the Army Staff of its army wing Peoples Revolutionary Army (PRA) Lt. Col. Angou Kuman graced as chief guest and president respectively.
At all the function held various units, the message of the Chairman was read out. At the function held at Central H. Q., Chairman of the outfit Toijam Ibochouba stressed on the need to strengthen the revolutionary movement in view of the present revolutionary struggle.
He said that without a revolutionary ideology the movement will not last long and will never get support from the people. This was a lesson learnt from the prolong revolutionary movement since the annexation of WESEA and Manipur/Kangleipak by India. The Chairman added that without the people the revolutionary movement will never reached its goal.
He stressed on the importance of peoples participation to the movement saying that only the weapons that the revolutionary cadres have will not succeed the movement. While saying so it does not require to distribute weapons to all the people. What the movement need is the common ideology which the revolutionary organization and people should share as a common weapon.
General Secretary of SOREPA, K. Korou while speaking on the occasion called on the people to ponder on how and why the people have been falling as victims of drugs. He appealed the people to take a common stand against drugs and to fight against it as a common cause. He also stressed on area to save the future generation.
At Tactical HQ, Military Affairs Secretary Col Chingyang , while speaking on the occasion called on the need for sincerity of the revolutionary cadre while moving ahead the revolutionary movement . Chief of the Army of the organization also elaborated on the called on the PRA cadres to understand and deliver their responsibility.
