Imphal, Sept 13:
Two active members of RPF/PLA were arrested yesterday by a team of CDO Imphal East unit while conducting random frisking and checking of passer-by at Takhel of Imphal East District. The arrested individuals are Leishangthem Khomei Singh (53 years), son of (Late) L. Bidhu Singh of Haraorok Mayai Leikai, Imphal East, and Khangmebam Sanjoy Singh alias Athoi alias Pambei (28 years), son of Kh. Manglemba Singh of Kumbi Setapur Maning Leikai, Bishnupur District from Takhel Mayai Leikai near waiting shed at 4:35 p.m. and seized one 9 mm Pistol, one car (Maruti Alto), two nos. of mobile phones from their possessions.
The arrestees joined the said outfit through one s/s – Captain Hemba of RPF/PLA and are presently working under his command. On the advice of the said Hemba of RPF/PLA today, both the detainees came to Takhel village to organize a place/residence for the shelter of their outfit.
The arrested persons, along with the seized items, are handed over to Lamlai Police Station for taking up further necessary legal action against them.
