Govt Ideal Blind School observes Golden Jubilee celebration

The year-long Golden Jubilee celebration of the Government Ideal Blind School, Takyel, concluded with a grand closing function.
Social Welfare Minister H. Dingo graced the event and expressed his admiration for the students’ craftsmanship. He highlighted the department’s ongoing efforts to interact with the students regularly, aiming to boost their morale and foster mental development.
As part of the golden jubilee program, students who passed the HSLC examinations in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 were felicitated. Additionally, blind students who have qualified for their Ph.D. and a child national awardee were also honored during the event.
The function was attended by H. Dingo as the Chief Guest, N. Geoffrey, Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Social Welfare Department as the President, and Ngangom Uttam, Director of the Social Welfare Department, as the Guest of Honour.
