Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar, IAS, chaired a preparatory meeting today at the DC’s Conference Hall, Mini-Secretariat, Churachandpur, ahead of the district’s three-day registration camp under the “Jan Kalyan Shivir” initiative scheduled from June 17 to 19, 2026.
Organized by the Planning Department, Government of Manipur, the campaign seeks to extend welfare and beneficiary-oriented schemes of both Central and State Governments to all eligible citizens. Acting as the Nodal Officer for the district, the Deputy Commissioner directed departments to ensure adequate manpower, infrastructure, and swift resolution of pending grievances to facilitate smooth registration and service delivery.
The camps, to be held at district and sub-divisional headquarters, will focus on achieving saturation across key welfare sectors. Major services include health and financial security schemes such as Ayushman Bharat (PM-JAY), Chief Minister-gi Hakselgi Tengbang (CMHT), and pension enrolments, along with agricultural benefits like PM-Kisan e-KYC and Kisan Credit Cards. Other essential services to be streamlined include PM Awas Yojana, PM Surya Ghar solar registrations, Aadhaar updates, and entrepreneurship initiatives under Startup Manipur.
Officials have been instructed to undertake extensive local publicity and submit daily progress reports to ensure maximum public participation and accountability throughout the campaign.
