Arms and ammunition surrendered at Nambol Police Station following Governor’s appeal

In response to the appeal made by the Governor of Manipur, a significant cache of arms, ammunition, and other items was surrendered at Nambol Police Station in Bishnupur district.
As recorded in General Diary (GD) entry number 15/NBL-PS dated March 3, 2025, the surrendered items included two SBBL guns bearing numbers 30049 and 30074, along with three DBBL guns numbered 81979, 25696 A/8, and 82556-2015. A total of 30 cartridges, three rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition, and 50 rounds of 5.56 mm ammunition were also handed over.
In addition to firearms and ammunition, security-related equipment such as 12 bulletproof jackets, 18 bulletproof plates, and 13 helmets were surrendered. Other items included four walkie-talkie sets with two chargers and two side bags. Clothing and accessories comprising 11 green-colored pants, two camouflage full shirts, two olive green jackets, and six pairs of shoes were also among the surrendered items.
