ZUF welcomes return of two former members

The Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) has welcomed the return of two individuals who had previously left the group to join other factions. In an official statement issued by Louis Gangmei, Secretary of Information and Publicity, ZUF announced the return of Azua Pame, son of late Leituing and former Advisory Member of NSCN-U, and Sajianglung Kamei, son of Mathiukhin Kamei and former 2nd Lieutenant of NSCN-R.
Both individuals had earlier defected from the ZUF under the leadership of S. Kamson. Their rejoining the Front, according to the statement, reflects a “deep sense of realization and responsibility towards the collective vision and political rights of the Zeliangrong community.”
The ZUF appreciated the returnees’ decision, noting that their act demonstrated sincerity, humility, and renewed commitment to the cause. The group described the return as a meaningful step grounded in understanding the missteps of the past and reaffirming loyalty to the collective interest of the Zeliangrong people.
“Their homecoming strengthens our unity and reinforces our shared determination to work together for the future of the Zeliangrong people,” the statement said.
The ZUF assured full support and reintegration of the returnees into the organisation and extended a call to all Zeliangrong individuals to come together in solidarity. The statement urged all well-meaning sons and daughters of the community to unite under the shared goal of preserving and advancing the political and cultural rights of the Zeliangrong people.
