In observance of World Blood Donor Day 2025 under the theme “Give Blood, Give Hope: Together We Save Lives,” an awareness cum voluntary blood donation camp was organised at the Department of Transfusion Medicine, RIMS, Imphal.
The event was jointly organised by the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Bishnupur District Branch, People’s Resource Development Association Bishnupur, Chhayatap Foundation, Green Brigade Foundation Manipur Toubul, National Health Mission (NHM), Manipur AIDS Control Society (MACS), and the Department of Transfusion Medicine, RIMS Imphal.
Secretary of IRCS Bishnupur District Branch Dr. Huidrom Romen, along with Joint Secretaries Huidrom Shyamchand and E. Premjit, Life Member Dr. RK Romila, and several volunteers took part in the blood donation drive.
Out of 15 individuals who registered to donate blood, 13 successfully donated, including two women, while two could not proceed due to medical reasons.
All participating donors were honoured with certificates, donor badges, and tokens of appreciation in recognition of their contribution to saving lives.
