A new book titled “Vedic Mathematics (Teacher’s Manual)” authored by renowned educationist and retired principal Vijay Garg was officially released today at GTB Khalsa Senior Secondary School, Malout. The book was unveiled by the school’s Principal, Sonia Sharma, during a brief ceremony attended by senior faculty members.
While addressing the gathering, Principal Sonia Sharma praised the scholarly contributions of Vijay Garg in the field of education. She stated that the manual would be highly beneficial for students preparing for various competitive exams, offering simplified approaches to complex mathematical concepts through Vedic techniques.
Highlighting the significance of the book, Sharma remarked that it serves as an important guide not only for students but also for educators and society at large. “This manual provides structured understanding and practice exercises that align well with current exam patterns,” she added.
Vijay Garg, speaking on the occasion, elaborated on the objective behind writing the book. He emphasized the role of logical reasoning and analytical skills in academic and real-life success. According to him, the manual—especially suited for young learners—introduces concepts such as sequences, coding-decoding, and puzzles in an engaging and student-friendly format.
He added that the book encourages “learning by doing” and helps cultivate independent thinking and problem-solving habits. With simple language and ample practice questions, it serves as an ideal resource for both classroom and home learning environments.
