Vice-Chancellor of MU highlights Prime Minister’s vision for youth empowerment

The Vice-Chancellor of Manipur University, Professor N. Lokendra Singh, has reportedly expressed strong support for the forthcoming “Viksit Bharat Young Leader Dialogue,” a reimagined version of the National Youth Festival (NYF) 2025. This initiative is said to align with the Prime Minister’s vision of empowering the youth as key agents of nation-building while fostering a progressive and inclusive India.
During a meeting with Dr. Laishram Santosh Singh, Programme Coordinator of the NSS Cell at Manipur University, and a team of NSS Program Officers, Professor Singh reviewed the progress of youth engagement initiatives in the state. He reportedly highlighted the importance of ensuring maximum participation from Manipur’s youth in the dialogue, describing it as an unparalleled platform to showcase leadership and innovation.
Referring to the initiative, the Vice-Chancellor was quoted as stating that the “Viksit Bharat Young Leader Dialogue” transcends its role as a reimagined National Youth Festival. He reportedly described it as a reflection of the Prime Minister’s vision for youth empowerment and as a dynamic space for young leaders to actively shape the nation’s future.
He is believed to have expressed confidence in the program’s transformative potential, calling it a landmark event that could inspire youth leadership and innovation nationwide. He reportedly urged aspiring participants to seize the opportunity for personal growth and meaningful contributions to nation-building.
