Dr. Anupam Mishra, Vice Chancellor of the Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal, called on the Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, at Raj Bhavan today. During the meeting, Dr. Anupam Mishra briefed the Governor on the University’s recent initiatives and achievements, particularly in the fields of early childhood nutrition, health economics, nutritional economics, and the quantification of health indicators. He also provided an overview of the academic progress made by the University. The Governor appreciated the University’s contributions and stressed the continued importance of focusing on child health and nutrition, especially during early developmental years.
Also, representatives of the Uripok Apunba Lup, led by S. Tekendrajit Singh along with six other members, also met the Governor at Raj Bhavan. The delegation submitted a memorandum highlighting several grievances faced by residents of the Uripok Assembly Constituency. Among the key concerns raised were the poor condition of roads with large potholes, non-functional street lighting, and persistent traffic congestion caused by the movement of heavy vehicles in residential zones. The Governor gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured that the issues would be forwarded to the concerned authorities for necessary action.
