UAL and UNAL Urge External Organizations to Halt Donation Drives

The Uripok Apunba Lup (UAL) and Uripok Nupi Apunba Lup (UNAL) have appealed to organizations that are not from the Uripok area to stop gathering donations and financial aid. In a statement released by the two organizations, it is stated that since May 3rd, 2024, the UAL, in collaboration with UNAL, has been actively involved in assisting affected individuals and managing relief camps across Uripok. The organizations stated, “Since May 3rd, 2024, the UAL, in collaboration with the Uripok Nupi Apunba Lup, has been actively involved in assisting affected individuals and managing relief camps across Uripok. Their efforts have been pivotal in providing aid and comfort to those impacted by recent events.”
A significant relief initiative is currently centered at the Lamboikhongnkhong Trade and Expo Center, where an IDP camp has been established. This camp is overseen by a dedicated committee from UAL and UNAL, the statement stated. It also mentioned that they are helping a 17-year-old who is suffering from a serious illness and is now undergoing treatment in Guwahati.
