Two-Month Yoga training session concludes at Kakching

A two-month-long Yoga training programme organised by the Kakching District Yogasana Sports Association concluded today at the Kakching Mayai Leikai Multipurpose Hall.
Speaking at the closing event, Naorem Aken, Secretary of the Kakching District Yogasana Sports Association, said the initiative was taken following the recognition of Yoga as a competitive sport by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India. He stated that the Kakching District Yoga Sana Sports Association is committed to nurturing young talent and preparing them for Olympics level.
Aken also asserted the broader goals of the training, which included encouraging youth and elderly alike to adopt Yoga for physical well-being and disease prevention. He announced that similar training sessions would be held in various parts of the district to reach a wider population.
Participants of the training programme shared their experiences, stating that regular Yoga practice had significantly improved their physical health and helped alleviate certain pre-existing health conditions. Many of them appealed to the public to dedicate at least 30 minutes daily to Yoga for a healthier lifestyle.
