While Congress party leader Okram Ibobi questions the kind of developmental schemes taken up by the BJP government, the former chief minister said that all the development projects taken up were during the period of Congress government and in the last five years of BJP led government no new schemes or development has taken up. The former Chief Minister was talking to media persons at Congress Bhavan as last-minute campaign for the first phase election.

On the other, BJP had stated that after it come to power there has been a lot of improvement in the law and order section and had managed to complete many projects which the Congress could not do in 15 years of its government. The story of congress’s government is about ‘Scams’ but for the BJP led government it is now about the story of ‘Schemes’. Dr. Patra talk about the various developmental schemes being introduced during BJP led government both at the center and at the state of Manipur.

Spokesperson of the State Government and the member of the National Executive Committee member Th. Biswajit re-iterated that BJP will win over 40 seats in this election. The State BJP leader said that while visiting and campaigning at various assembly constituencies in the state he is confident that the BJP will get an absolute majority. This is because the BJP led government has cleaned the dirt of the Congress government and the BJP initiative to develop far-flung villages in the state has made people confident in BJP.
