Tree plantation drive organized at Maharani hill range

The Central Forest Division today organised tree plantation at Maharani hill range under Sawombung forest range of Khongbal Tangkhul village, which is also under Khamellok Gwaltabi Reserved Forest. During the tree plantation, a team of CDO Imphal East under the supervision of SDPO Rk Tejbir also participated. 
Rk Amarjit DFO, ACF Siba Veimi, Sadar East Range Officer Ng. Ratan, Sawombung Range Officer K. Raghu, Nongmaiching Range Officer N. Prabir, Range Officer Head Quarter M. Jobid Thoubal, Wildlife Warden W. Ramchandra, Village Committee members, and Khongbal Tangkhul Village members also participated.
During the tree plantation, Rk Amarjit DFO expressed that in the past this range was cultivated for poppy plantation, but now the area is planted with many trees.
