Three intending candidates of the 42- Tengnoupal{ST) Assembly Constituency has applied for Naga Peoples’ Front (NPF) ticket to contest in the forthcoming 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly Election 2022. A statement of Ng. Thomvir, President of 42-Tengnoupal AC Area Unit of NPF said that W. Morung Makunga, Kh. Armstrong Charang and TK Moshilpha have applied for the ticket after duly fulfilling all the criteria within the stipulated time. Candidates should submit applications for candidature from 6 – 15th December 2021 as per notification.
Earlier D. Korungthang, MLA of 42-Tengnoupal is trying his best to enroll in NPF and take party ticket for the forthcoming election. In this regard, a joint meeting of the Parent Body of the Area Unit and its frontal wings held on 18th December, 2021 unanimously resolved to resign en masse if (a) the period of Issue and submission of forms for party ticket is extended and (b) party ticket is issued to D. Korungthang, the press release added.
