The Student’s Union of TG Higher Secondary School today warns of serious agitation if the government fails to find the whereabouts of Hijam Luwangbi Chanu, D/o Hijam Kulajit and Hijam Ongbi Jayashree of Tera Tongbram Leikai, a student of TG Higher Secondary School who went missing with Phijam Hemarjit, S/o Ph. Ibungobi and Phijam Ongbi Memcha of Takyel Kolom Leikai, a student of Kindergarten School, Takyel.
Talking to reporters, General Secretary of T.G. Higher Secondary School Manshi Sagolshem said that almost 16 days have passed since they were last seen and a missing report has been lodged with the concerned Police Department, yet, there has been no clue of their whereabouts or even whether they are still alive or not.
If the Government cannot trace them and fail to hand them over safely to their families within July 30, the Students’ Union will launch massive agitations in collaboration with other student bodies, the general secretary warned.
According to reliable sources, the two were last seen going together on motorcycle from Keishampat at around 8:15 on the July 6 CCTV footage captured their last visual at Nambol.
As per police reports, the mobile phone of the girl was located last at Kwakta. A few days later, the handset used by the boy Hemanjit is traced to be used by a person suspected to be a Kuki at Lamdan in Churachandpur. The user has been identified as Lhinguichong, C/o Janglen of Ingourok Lamdan.
