Imphal, Dec 20: A group of students of Manipur University today stage protest against the postponement of Manipur University Students’ Union election which was earlier scheduled to hold today.
At around 11 am today morning large number of students today gathered at Manipur University complex and demanded reason for postponement of the election. They demanded immediate conduct of the election.
A students said that postponement of the election is nothing but depriving the rights of the students as there are no problems in the MU campus. It said that bringing the prevailing crisis in the state as a reason for postponement of election is not justified.
Earlier University authority has announced postponed the students’ election on December 28.
