Imphal, July 23:

A sit-in appeal advocating for an Education Sector Disturbance-Free Zone will be conducted from July 25 to July 27, organized by the Co-ordinating Committee on Disturbance-Free Educational Zone Demand. This demonstration will commence on July 25, running from 12:15 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The Co-ordinating Committee has been designating July 5 as Disturbance-Free Educational Zone Demand Day since 2008, marked by various advocacy campaigns. This year, starting on July 5, the committee has organized initiatives such as poster distribution, leaflet circulation, banner displays, and sticker campaigns. As part of these efforts, a sit-in appeal will take place in various government, government-aided, and private schools. Students are encouraged to participate at the school gates or other suitable locations. The Co-ordinating Committee will provide the format and digital copies of banners, which will display six key demands to be highlighted during the sit-in appeal.
