Schools affected

Imphal, Nov 10: Normal functioning of the schools here in Imphal has been severely affected as students’ transport vehicles today cease work due to non-availability of petrol.
Following the economic blockade called by ATSUM and MUTSU along the two national highways in connection with the reservation fiasco at Manipur University and in addition to this steering down strike called by Tanker drivers’, almost all petrol depot here in Imphal have been reported dried and stopped distribution of the fuel.
After the school transport service vehicles had announced to stop service today, school like Little Flower School, St. Joseph, Nirmalabas among others were forced to close as maximum number of students was unable to attend classes.
