A review meeting of the Dharti Abba Abhiyan Campaign under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Jiribam Krishna Kumar, IAS was held today at the office chamber of DC Jiribam. During the meeting the DC highlighted that the weeklong campaign in Jiribam District have been conducted at tribal villages of Chotobekra and Bhutangkhal from 16 June as part of the nationwide focused campaign, Dharti Aaba Abhiyan – Awareness and Benefit saturation camp from 15th June to 30th under Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India to ensure awareness about different schemes/programs and services of different Government Departments. Krishna Kumar also highlighted that DAJGUA is a time bound mission to saturate services, ensure infrastructural development in tribal areas and to empower tribal communities for holistic & sustainable development.
During the meeting the DC instructed all the concerned departments to expedite their service delivery and to submit their upcoming action plan for the next campaign scheduled to be held on 25th June, 2025 at Chotobekra village and 28th June at Jairolpokpi village. The campaign in the district was conducted on 16th June, 2025 at Chotobekra village followed by Bhutangkhal village on 17th June, 2025.
The schemes include Pradan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, House electrification and off-grid solar, New Solar Power Scheme, Forest Rights Act 2006, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, National Health Mission, National Sickle cell Mission, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, Anganwadi centres, Skill India Mission, PM Matsya Sampada Yojana etc.
