Relatives and family members of a 12 years old minor girl, today attack the rape accused while he was produced to the Special Court for Protection of Child from Sexual Abuse at Uripok Cheirap Court complex today morning. Soon after the accused came out from the court room large number of people including women came from nowhere and started attacking him with slippers. One of the lady slapped the rape accused even though the police tried to protect him. Police faced hard time in controlling the irate relatives of the rape victim.
Sagolsem Ranabir (39) s/o Khahemba of Mayang Imphal of Maibam Thongkhong and owner of Student Guidance Centre boarding at Mayang Imphal Konchak was arrested by a police team for allegedly raping a class 5 girl student inside the boarding he runs. He was today produced before the court for hearing.
