Renowned cartoonist R K Laxman died inn Pune on Monday after suffering multi-organ failure. He was 94.
The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has condoled the demise of Eminent Cartoonist RK Laxman. “India will miss you RK Laxman. We are grateful to you for adding the much needed humour in our lives and always bringing smiles on our faces. My condolences to the family and countless well-wishers of a legend whose demise leaves a major void in our lives. RIP RK Laxman”, the Prime Minister said.
Laxman was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second-highest civilian honour.
