Problems and harassment faced by Diesel Auto service providers in Churachandpur town were highlighted during a General Assembly cum Election meet of the Churachandpur District Diesel Auto Owners Association held today at K Aichin Park near Mata VillageĀ in Churachandpur . The General Assembly began from 11:30 am.
The Association has at least 700 Diesel auto vehicles and is covering more than 23 lines inĀ Churachandpur townĀ .
The association though providedĀ an important servicesĀ Ā to the public as conveyance of various destination faced problems of unnecessary halt and frisking by the police while commuting the public and monetary demands from various UG groups, speakers on the occasionĀ said.
The matter was discussed in todayās general assembly but no decision on the matter was taken.Ā
In the election Seiboi Haokip was elected as President while Khamsuan Ngaihte has been elected the General Secretary.Ā Doumang Haokip N Khamsiam was elected as Finance Secretary and treasurer.
