PREPAK (Pro) temporarily suspends taking financial assistance from general public

Imphal, April 1:

The People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (Progressive), also known as PREPAK (Pro), has declared a temporary halt to soliciting financial and other forms of aid from the general public, according to a recent statement released by the proscribed group.
Citing the ongoing unrest and its adverse economic impact on the populace, PREPAK (Pro) expressed concern over individuals posing as patriots and freely seeking monetary support, which places an undue burden on the public.
The party emphasized the need to maintain focus amidst the conflict, asserting that unfounded demands for financial aid detract from the collective efforts of both civilians and revolutionaries. Consequently, PREPAK (Progressive) announced its decision to refrain temporarily from seeking assistance from certain establishments, including indigenous-owned shops, diligent public-serving doctors, and affluent social workers.
While abstaining from public appeals, PREPAK (Pro) affirmed its commitment to aiding daily wage earners and impoverished families affected by the ongoing conflict. The revolutionary group outlined its intention to continue seeking funds from specific entities, such as government departments, individuals implicated in corrupt practices, black market operators, and select private schools, using the party’s official letterhead for transparency.
PREPAK (Progressive) maintained that its actions aim to serve the people effectively while ensuring accountability in resource allocation.
