The People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (Progressive), PREPAK (Pro), has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Moirangthem Nanao @ Ngamba (35), a cadre of the Meeyamgi Yawol Lanmee (MYL), the armed wing of Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL).
In a condolence message, L. Ningsingba, Assistant Publicity Secretary of PREPAK (Pro), stated that Pvt. Nanao was killed on May 19, 2025, during a fierce gun battle near the Manipur–Myanmar border. He was part of a joint operation of the revolutionary forces when they came under attack from Indian security forces and their allied proxy group, KNF (B). During the encounter, he was fatally struck while actively defending the cause of the people.
PREPAK (Pro) described Nanao as a committed and courageous revolutionary who sacrificed his life for the struggle to protect Manipur’s territorial integrity and identity. The party acknowledged his contributions as a guiding torch in the collective journey toward self-determination.
The outfit also extended heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family and fellow comrades, affirming that Nanao’s legacy and sacrifice will inspire generations in the continued resistance for the liberation of Kangleipak.
