Imphal, Feb 2:

The Peoples Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) has expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of UNLF/MPA Captain Chirom Chiromcha and KYKL/MYL cadre Pvt. Moirangthem Sushil. In a statement released today, Mangal Khuman, Publicity Officer of the Department of Publicity and Propaganda of the PREPAK, paid tribute to the fallen revolutionaries.
The statement highlighted that the two revolutionaries died during the ongoing conflict between KNA-B and various Manipur revolutionary groups, which has been escalating since January 27, 2025. The clash between these forces in the Indo Myanmar border area led to significant losses, including the deaths of Captain Chiromcha, PLA’s 2nd Lt. Henthoiba, and Pvt. Sushil of KYKL/MYL. The PREPAK also expressed its condolences to the families and comrades of the deceased.
The PREPAK stressed that this battle was part of a broader Proxy War between the forces, with ongoing tensions between the KNA-B and Manipur-based revolutionary groups. It described how intense fighting erupted in the Indo Myanmar region, where the revolutionary forces resisted the aggression of the KNA-B and its allies.
The statement went on to reaffirm PREPAK’s commitment to the revolutionary cause, stressing that the struggle for the freedom of the people of Manipur continues. Despite the loss of their comrades, PREPAK vowed to remain dedicated to its mission and to honor the sacrifices of those who have fallen in the fight.
The deaths of Captain Chiromcha and Pvt. Sushil are seen as a significant loss to their respective groups, yet the PREPAK reaffirmed its resolve to press on in the face of adversity, with the continued support of its forces and affiliates.
