Delhi High Court has admitted the petition challenging the non inclussion of Television Journalist to the working journalist category.
Under the Working journalist and other newspaper employees and the Misc. provisions Act 1955 the TV journalists are not counted as working journalist.
The petitioner prayed for amending the act to include TV journalists . Adivision bench of the Delhi High Court comprising of Just S Rabindrabath and Justice Deepap Sarma accepted the petition and issued notice to the Union Govt.
