PC Lawmkunga to relieve from Chief Secretary on Oct 1

The Chief Secretary of Manipur, Pachuau (PC) Lawmkunga is likely to be relieved from the post on October 1, evening.
According to reliable sources, the 1979 Manipur-Tripura cadre Indian Administrative officer has been appointed as Chief Secretary of Manipur with effect from 01/08/2013 will turn 60 years on October 1, 2015.
It also said that Ameising Luikham, (IAS), who hails from Ukhrul district, is likely to take over as Chief Secretary of Manipur as he is the senior most civil service officer from the state. Ameising (Manipur- Tripura 1981 cadre) is currently serving as Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises in the M/o Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises.
IAS officer, O Nabakishore Singh, (Manipur-Tripura 1984 cadre), who is serving as Addl. Chief Secretary (Elections) & Chief Election Officer, Manipur is next in the line for the post of Chief Secretary.
Meanwhile, Directorate of Environment, Government of Manipur has thrown a ‘farewell and best wishes’ party to the Chief Secretary at a Hotel here recently. In honour of his 36 years of service, the IAS Association, Manipur is also hosting a Farewell Dinner on Wednesday at Sangai Hall, Hotel Imphal.
