One-Day Seminar cum Exhibition on ELP held at SAIRAM, Langjing Achouba

A one-day seminar cum exhibition on the Experiential Learning Programme (ELP) was held today at the South Asian Institute of Rural and Agricultural Management (SAIRAM), Langjing Achouba, Imphal. The event was organized by the 8th semester students of B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture as part of their academic curriculum.
The seminar and exhibition were formally inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Prof. H.S. Shekhar Sharma, Director of SAIRAM. The program commenced with the traditional presentation of Lengyan to the dignitaries, followed by a welcome and keynote address delivered by Miss Reina, a student of the 8th semester.
Dr. Chingkheihunba, Head of Department, and N. Arunkumar Singh, Assistant Professor, attended the event as Guests of Honour. Dr. Ph. Ibomcha Sharma, Administrative Officer of SAIRAM, presided over the function as the President. Also present at the event were Dr. Herojit Meetei, Dr. Ichancha Meikam, and Er. Milky Lukram, who are associated with various ELP modules of the institute.
The ELP is a vital component of the B.Sc. Agriculture program, designed to foster entrepreneurial skills, practical knowledge, and self-employment opportunities through hands-on training in agriculture and allied activities. The exhibition provided a platform for students to showcase their learning outcomes, projects, and innovations while also exposing them to the commercial facets of agriculture.
SAIRAM extended all necessary support for the successful execution of the program, including initial investment, infrastructure, technical guidance, and continuous encouragement. Students from all four departments participated with dedication and applied various innovative approaches, generating a commendable amount of income through their projects.
