One-Day Media Workshop on TB Elimination Campaign held

The Editors’ Guild Manipur (EGM), in collaboration with SHS National Health Mission and the Directorate of Health Services, Manipur, organized a One-Day Media Workshop on the ‘100-Day TB Elimination Campaign’ at the DIPR Auditorium, Manipur, today.
The inaugural function was graced by Dr. Chambo Gonmei, Director, Directorate of Health Services, Government of Manipur, as the Chief Guest, while Bijoy Kakchingtabam, President, All Manipur Working Journalists’ Union, and Khogendra Khomdram, President, Editors’ Guild Manipur, attended as Guests of Honor and President, respectively.
A Technical Session, moderated by Ningthoukhongjam Seityajit, Bureau Chief of UNI Imphal, featured insightful discussions from eminent speakers. Dr. Hemlata Thokchom, State TB Officer, elaborated on the 100-Day TB Elimination Campaign, while Kiranmala Thangjam, State BCC IEC Consultant, spoke on NHM and Media. Senior Journalist A. Mobi Singh highlighted the role of media as a facilitator in the fight against TB.
The workshop aimed at enhancing media engagement in the elimination of tuberculosis, emphasizing the crucial role of journalists in spreading awareness and educating the public on TB prevention and eradication efforts.
