NSCN-IM condemns assault to tax collector

Imphal, Aug 30: A statement S. Among Lim, Secretary to the Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim (GPRN) today warns any individuals or group responsible in causing any untoward incident to Major Nrikhon of Naga Army will be taken with the law of their government.
The warning came in the aftermath of the assault of a tax collectors by group of persons at Wokha Town in ngaland on August 12 this year.
The statement said that the GPRN has taken the issue seriously. It save the cadre assigned to collect tax for the GPRN was assaulted by an unruly mob but police team who came there by chance saved him. The follow up action of the mob which cause serious damage to the Town Command Office is also taken seriously by the GPRN.
S. Among Lim’s statement said that Maj. Nrikhon of Naga Army was assigned by the government as Zonal Tax Officer, Wokha Nagaland.
