Imphal, March 1:

Cabinet Minister Th. Biswajit said Manipur would be saved only by the Bharatiya Janata Party and not other parties.
Addressing a public meeting at Heirok Part-II, Biswajit said:  ”No other party will save Manipur other than the Bharatiya Janata Party. I have been a part of the BJP during its rise and down period in Manipur. Therefore,  I comprehend the rules and ideology of the party.”
The leaders of BJP always believed that the dream of developed India would never be fulfilled without the development of northeast states, especially Manipur, Biswajit said.
“The notion of BJP is to improve Manipur and the entire northeastern region of the country,” Biswajit added.
Noting that BJP always strives for the betterment of Manipur, Biswajit said BJP leaders and late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee knew the significance of the northeastern region and took several initiatives for the region’s progress, including the creation of the DoNER ministry.
Moreover, the BJP government had improved the road and connectivity across the state, the minister said.
“The erstwhile “Look East” policy has now turned into an “Act East” policy. In addition, the development of the trans highway will ensure socioeconomic growth. Manipur has now become a gateway to Southeast Asian countries. The Act East Policy gives a new impetus to the development of Manipur and the nation,” Biswajit highlighted.
Concluding his address, Biswajit urged the attendees to support Th. Radheshyam. “Heirok constituency will continue to scale new heights of development under the leadership of Th. Radheshyam, backed by the development ideology of the Bharatiya Janata Party,” Biswajit said.
