MLA Surchandra today inaugurated a newly constructed suspension bridge built across Sekmai river between Kakching Wairi Senapati leikai and Kakching Chumnang leikai. The bridge known as Sena Suspension bridge is reconstructed with contribution from the people of the area after it was washed away during last year floods in July.
MLA Md. Fajur Rahim and Councillor of Kakching Municipal Council – N Memi and P Sanahanbi also accompanied Y. Surchandra while inaugurating the bridge.
Speaking on the occasion MLA Y Surchandra appealed the people not to hindered or give any obstacle while taking up developmental works of the people. He said all good works should be encouraged.
MLA Md. Fajur Rahim while speaking on the occasion assured to urge the Chief Minister to upgrade the bridge into RCC Bridge.
