A newborn baby girl was found abandoned at the cradle point outside MMKS Children’s Home in Dewlahland, Imphal East, at approximately 2:39 PM on July 2, 2025. The child is currently receiving medical care at JNIMS, Porompat, and her condition is being closely monitored by the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Imphal East, along with the SAA and CWC.
According to a press release issued by the Office of the District Child Protection Unit, Department of Social Welfare, Manipur, the Imphal Police Station has registered a GD entry for the incident under case number 14/IPS/2025, dated July 2, 2025.
Authorities have called on anyone who may have information or claims regarding the child’s identity to come forward within 60 days of this publication. Claimants are required to provide valid documents proving their identity and relationship with the child.
