New Police booth opened at Kakching Wairi

A new police booth was open yesterday at Kakching Wairi Kongoi Bazar, which is under the jurisdiction of Kakching Police Station by MLA, Yengkhom Surchandra.
The opening programme was also attended by SP Kakching, Victoria Yengkhom, SDPO Kakching, Shrey Vats, OC Kakching, Akoijam Premjit and Kakching Municipal Council Ward no.1, Councillor, M.Memcha Devi.
 On the other hand, Kakching Municipal Council, Ward no.1, Ward Development Committee conducted a social service in the area of the Kakching Wairi in connection with Swachhata Hi Sewa and organised awareness programme on plastic pollution.
Speaking on the occasion at Kakching Wairi Kongoi Community Hall, SP Kakching, Victoria Yengkhom said that setting up of new police booth in the area will help the people in preventing from unwanted incident.
MLA Surchandra said that Kakching town is becoming one of the cleanliest towns. He added that such good quality should maintain it. He further said that Kakching Municipal Council had also issued prohibition order against rearing of pigs within 100 metre radius of residential area.
