MPP condemned

Manipur People’s Party has condemned the incident of assaulting Sub-Inspector Arambam Amitabh by escorts of the Manipur Legislative Assembly’s Speaker, Th Lokeshwor on the May 10.
Taking law in hands by legislatures and attacking on police officer of Home Department is a serious matter and the state government should not remain as silent spectators, a release from the party said.
While stating that holding of Manipur Legislative Assembly’s position by irresponsible person is an unlucky for the people of Manipur, MPP said.
It also demanded to institute immediate probe against the incident and to punish the culprits.
