MNRF refutes WKZIC allegations, says no hands in Sipijang Village attack

Imphal, Aug 19:

The Manipur Naga Revolutionary Front (MNRF) has refuted the allegation of WKZIC as baseless unfounded and unsubstantiated without any shred of evidence.
The World Kuki-Zo Intellectual Council (WKZIC) had accused the Manipur Naga Revolutionary Front (MNRF) of their involvement in the dastardly attack on Sipijang Village situated near Thowai Kuki Village, Kamjong District in the wee hours of 18th August, 2023 killing three innocent Villagers.
“It is highly unbecoming of an esteemed intellectual body like WKZIC pointing its accusing fingers at MNRF for its involvement. The Manipur Naga Revolutionary Front (MNRF) does not involve in this communal conflict in any manner whatsoever. The MNRF is deeply pained by the unfolding ethnic crisis in the State of Manipur. The bond of blood relationship between the Meitei and the Tangkhul cannot at all times be pulled in for any kind of adventure. At the same time the old wounds of Kuki-Naga conflict should not be tracked in unnecessarily”, a statement by HS. Shimray, Chief Information Secretary of MNRF.
