The first Phase of Kshetrigao Farmers Meet was organized today at the office of Kshetrigao AC MLA Sheikh Noorul Hassan at Kshetrigao Awang Leikai under the theme “Better production of crops in one year”. This first phase of “Kshetrigao Farmers Meet 2022” was organised for Farmers of Gurupat Loukol and Yaralpat Loukol .
The Meet was held for the green revolution and multiple cropping in Kshetrigao Assembly Constituency under the supervision of MLA Sheikh Noorul Hassan.
On the occasion, Sheikh Noorul Hassan said that rich men from different places buy fields from Kshetrigao AC and made farmhouses instead of paddy cultivation. He said that it is against the Conservation of Paddy Land and Wetland of the Manipur State Government.
“It is my duty to protect the Paddy Land and help all the Farmers for the production of crops”, Noorul Hassan said.
He appealed to all Farmers to seriously work for better production.
MLA Noorul said that a pilot project will be taken up at Chanam Loukol, Gurupat Loukol and Yaralpat Loukol of Kshetrigao AC.
Noorul Hassan also inspected Naharup Thongjao with officials of the related department and inquired about the condition of the dam. He assured to make the dam functional after some time.
Kshetrigao Kendra is mainly inhabited by Farmers. Noorul Hassab said that he will focus more on agriculture.
The MLA also drew the attention of Chief Minister N. Biren Singh to take up more programme in the agriculture sector.
