A woman who has been reportedly went missing since December 12 was found dead suspiciously hanging at a tree but her knees touching the ground. The dead body was found at around 1 pm at a forest near Sangluipung Village in Chandel District. The deceased woman is identified as Wanglun Samjoily (28), wife of W. Achan of Sangluipung Village in Chandel District. Her husband has been reportedly out of station but return today after hearing about the missing of his wife.
The dead body has been collected by a team of Chandel police and deposited at JNIMS Morgue. Post mortem was conducted today in the presence of MLA Nunglun Victor.
