When many legislatures including ministers are busy campaigning at their respective assembly constituencies for the upcoming state legislative Assembly Election Minister Th. Biswajit, who is in charge of IPR, PWD, RD &PR, Commerce and Industries, textile as well as Handloom and handicraft and Administrative reform today spare his busy schedule and visited to the residence of various eminent citizens and took advice from them as a part if the Vishesh SAMPARK Abhiyan programme .
Vishesh SAMPARK Abhiyan (Special Contact programme) was initiated by Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India to reach out to all the citizens particularly those who had contributed and conferred various awards in their respective field by the Government of India.
Minister Biswajit begins the Jatra by visiting the residence of Padmashree Dr. Elam Indira at her Lalambung residence. Biswajit courteously took her blessing and spare some moments discussing the present trends of Manipur. The Minister also took suggestions from the Padmashree Awardee, Dr. Elam Indira about how to make a prosperous Manipur. Interestingly, Minister Biswajit spend around 1 and a half-hour discussing the issues of Manipur and its solution with Dr. Elam Indira.
Later, Minister Biswajit visited the residence of Gurumayum Chandan Devi at Pishum Ningom leirak in Keishamthong Assembly Constituency. Mrs. Chandan is a Bismillah Khan Awardee in recognition of her contribution to Manipuri dance (performing art). After spending some more time with the Bismillah Khan Awardee and discussed about the problems and issues as well as solutions, Minister Biswajit visited the residence of ThouraniShabi Devi, Padma Shri Awardee at her Yumnam Leikai residence. He also visited the residence of Prof. Dr Ksh. Chourajit at his Yumnam Leikai residence.
The Minister didn’t miss out on sports personality who had brought fame for the state as well as for the nation. Biswajit visited the residence of Pangambam Nilakomol Singh, the 1st Olympian (Hockey) from the state of Manipur at his palace compound residence. During the visit Minister Biswajit presented local made eatable items and share the achievement of the BJP led government besides taking suggestions from them.
Till the filing of this story, Minister Biswajit visited the residence of Padma Shree Naba Warrepa at his Hoabam Marak residence and discussed about the present issues faced by the state.
