Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Nemcha Kipgen has been tested COVID-19 positive. Report said that her sample was tested on Monday at the Babina Diagnostics. She is the only women minister in the BJP Led coalition ministry .
In her Facebook post the Minister wrote, “ After getting symptoms of coronavirus ,I got myself tested and the report came back positive. I sincerely request all of you who have come in contact with me in the past few days to kindly isolate yourselves and get yourselves tested at the earliest”.
On the other hand 4 more health workers from the Advance hospital have also been reported tested positive with COVID-19.
Meanwhile, the certain sections of the Manipur University Administrative block has been sealed after an employees have been tested positive with the deadly virus. The University authority also took up immediate measures to prevent spread of the virus and by . Since early morning today authority from the state health department claded with PPEs sanitized the entire Administrative block. And also other areas inside the University complex including the Health Center, Hostels and Social Science block.
