Minister Jayantakumar Singh assured development of Imphal Art College

While inspecting the condition of the Imphal Art Colleges yesterday , Art & Culture minister L. Jayantakumar Singh assured to take up all possible measures for upgradation of the lone Art College of the state.
The Minister also interacted with the staffs of Imphal Art College at Dewlaland while attending  the closing function of Art Exhibition, Minister asserted that proposals to upgrade the college will be considered by the government since it is the lone Art College in the state.
Replying to the queries of the staffs regarding upgradation of the infrastructures of the college, Minister stated that the proposal will be considered in consultation with the concerned authority. Taking into account of the present status of the staffs’ which mostly are in contract basis and the college modus operandi ,Minister Jayantakumar stated that the matter will be discussed at the Cabinet meeting and asked the staffs to be ready for work when the college becomes fully fledged.
Minister also inspected the classrooms, practical studio and the main building.
Minister Jayantakumar also visited the Exhibition Hall where sketched, painted and sculptured posters and structures of different items are displayed
